Final Written Reflection

This is the last reflection I wrote for EXPL 390. I was a bit sad when I wrote this reflection because this was the moment I realized my internship was coming to an end. I was especially sad because I couldn't finish my internship on-site due to the pandemic, but I am thankful I could still work remotely. By the time I finished writing this reflection, I realized I had learned a lot. I learned how to be a leader who embraces her identity to uplift the community she identifies with. I learned what community organizing looks like in action. I learned about how organizational change takes time but is necessary to enact greater social change. Some of what I learned derives from the projects I did and the people I met. Some of what I learned came from observing my work environment. My supervisor also had a major impact on my internship experience and growth throughout the program. Ultimately, I will continue to reflect on what I learn and I hope to continue learning even after I graduate.
